From the sports centre there is access to the Rio Seco Nature reserve, based around a dry river bed and canyon, the nature reserve continues all the way to the beach at Mil Palmeras.

The local town of Pilar de la Horadada is just a short drive towards the coast and the beaches of Torre de la Horadada can be reached in about 15 minute.

Lo Romero Golf course is a 5 minute drive away. Alicante airport can be reached in 50 minutes, San Javier in 20. The city of Murcia is around a thirty minute drive through the countryside.
